Long White Cloud & Beyond is a visual diary from my first great adventure across the other side of the globe. I left without a clear idea of what I was doing, originally embarking on a three month backpacking trip around Australia’s East Coast, and failed to return for over a year and half.
After moving to beautiful Queenstown, NZ, I found a new family, fell in love, and explored South-East Asia upon a moped until finally crashing home, a changed man.
It took a couple of years for me to finally develop the film from this trip. Barely remembering when I paused to capture a moment, they’ve ended up quite nostalgic to look back on. A special time when I was completely present, exploring serene landscapes, whilst discovering internal revelations about myself and the world we live in.
This project is a story of the wonderful places I visited and the people I observed playing in the moment. However, as I look back it is also my way of holding onto those transformative years that changed my life for good.
